Consumer Grade Guns = a Consumer Grade Finish. But worse still. Cheap guns look good in the store, but they are NOT PROFESSIONAL. These guns are geared toward a consumer grade finish (our guns spray much smoother and flatter), do not last more then a few months and typically have no repair parts available. We call them "throw away" guns or the most expensive guns you will ever buy, since they end up in the trash. Here is some common thoughts from a person.

"What I found is that when the gun is new, it works fair...spray's even, with less overspray. But as I use them for three months or more, the spray quality deteriorates. I tried to buy replacement parts, but I had problems getting them. I bought a new gun waiting for parts and again it worked for a few months and started to degrade. I had to have a gun to finish the plaques and get them out, so bought another NOT SGW GUNS. But, I won't buy **** again."

"I purchased a $80 ***** gun from ***** store and to my dismay it ruined my work. It seems like the material I used melted the aircap so I got color pigmentation in my clear coat. It is in the trash now."

What about my local store? The guns SGW recommends have been tried and tested by other wood craftsmen like yourself. We listen to your feedback and offer systems that WORK FOR WOOD! Often, local stores will sell you spray guns with an incorrect tip set! and have no clue that there is a differences in wood material and coatings versus other coatings! Such guns will not work well for you... Also, remember, you are purchasing at wholesale prices: this means when you purchase a $75.00 spray gun here, you will likely find it for $150.00 at a local store. We would not sell a retail spray gun for $75.00 as that spray gun quality would be too low for a professional. If we did sell such an import, it would likely be priced at $28.00 here. Can you imagine the poor quality of a retail priced $59.99 HVLP spray gun found at your local hardware store, or Harbor Freight!!!! You will not find such guns here. We could purchase those "Chinese imports" at $12 our cost but WE DO NOT.
