Gravity

Gravity Feed SETUP: Many woodworkers enjoy a pressure setup.
This gives them greater control over how much material they lay
on and is good for woodworkers who experiment with different and
unconventional material. These setups also allow for hookup to
larger pots for production facilities or shops where large volume
of material is applied. We have several pressure setup available
from those starting out to industrial 2-5 gallon tank setups.

What
tips should I get?
Recommendations are to be used as a starting
point reference and are not an absolute application for all
refinish material brands. They are not meant to imply that any
given air cap/fluid tip combination can not be used to successfully
spray any given refinish material. Technique and personal preference
must also be considered.
As a general Rule, a 1.7-1.8 HVLP can handle
most thcker wood materials.
If you want a more exact match, Generally, go Urathanes (1.7-1.9) and Wood
Waterbornes (1.5-1.8) and lacquers and enamels (1.5-1.8). Thinner wood materials take a 1.4-1.6 tip set. Many only sprayable products fall in this range. We prefer larger sizes for wood. Stains and dies take (1.0-1.3) We prefer 1.0. We recommend the DeVilbiss Guns
because they generally come with multiple tips to handle all
your finer refinishing needs.
