For automotive you can do panel work, hoods, bumpers with no problem. and you can use almost any spray gun all the way up to 13.5 CFM @30 PSI. The only time you need to match the CFM rating with the gun is for entire car clear coats where there are no right edges to stop. As an alternative you can add anther tank, chain compressor together, or you can do a criss cross method with two wet edges.
