| What is CFM? |
For those who don't have a good compressor and do not want to purchase a good one. These are usually the inexpensive compressors you find in cheap all in one kits and swap meet compressors or compressors without CFM ratings but only PSI ratings i.e. 120 psi or 160 psi. (usually because the CFM is too low to show you). Your portable nailer can probably produce this much air. We have a new line of professional guns that can now work with previously too small compressors.

This is a very good compressor. For wood working you can use almost any spray gun all the way up to 13.5CFM@30 and get satisfactory results. For automotive you can do panel work, hoods, bumpers with no problem. The only time you need to match the CFM rating with the gun is for entire car clear coats where there are no right edges to stop. As an alternative you can add anther tank, chain compressor together, or you can do a criss cross method with two wet edges. |
